Explore the priorities Nebraska FBLA Collegiate state officers are working toward in membership, communications, finance, technology, and public relations.

2026 TO 2027 PRIORITIES

Goals for the Year Ahead

Each state officer has identified measurable priorities for strengthening Nebraska FBLA Collegiate and supporting members across the state.

Membership

By the end of March 2027 the Membership Officer will recruit 250 FBLA members across the state by executing two coordinated communications (emails) chapter advisors and student leaders, one at the beginning and one at the middle of the semester. A timeline of 150 registered members by Oct 31 (60%), 180 by Dec 31 (72%), 250 by SLC deadline March 3 (100%). In parallel, the Membership Officer will increase chapter participation in Race to 100 by distributing targeted informational resources to advisors and leaders throughout the semester.

Communications

By the end of March 2027, the communications officer will create one updated newsletter by Monday of the third week of the month and adding an alumni feature, sending timely text reminders to members; publicizing each month when member of the month applications are open, and begin sharing the newsletter with high school advisors each month; including a 60% of members on Remind101 by SLC with a 20% poll response rate.

Finance

By April 5, 2027, the Vice President of Finance will raise at least $12,000 through sponsorships and fundraising efforts by retaining 75% of prior-year sponsors, securing at least five new sponsorships, launching one new fundraising event, and sending quarterly impact updates to all sponsors and partners. Success will also include updating the sponsorship program by reframing sponsorships as partnerships, evaluating sponsorship tiers, and developing a Title Sponsor opportunity.

Technology

By the end of March, I will help modernize and improve the Nebraska FBLA-Collegiate State Chapter website by contributing to the completion of a full website redesign, updating website content, and implementing resources such as newsletters, sponsor information, officer descriptions, and member recognition forms. I will collaborate with the state officer team to ensure the website is accurate, user-friendly, and serves as an effective resource for members throughout the year.

Public Relations

Maintain a consistent brand identity across all Nebraska FBLA-Collegiate platforms. That means I’ll stay on top of posting regularly on LinkedIn and other social media, ensuring every post fits the audience and stays FBLA-appropriate. I’ll also make a point to run alumni campaigns that keep them engaged with what we’re doing. Plus, I’ll focus on building our LinkedIn presence and making sure we incorporate fun and engaging content, like Reels and TikToks, that show off the best of Nebraska FBLA-Collegiate and post approximately 3 times a week.
